Global threats and organised crime
The issues of coordinating and sharing information are central to Expertise France’s work methodology. The aim is to build the capacities of the various State actors involved in preventing and combating transregional threats, with a focus on:

- Supporting the integrated management of border areas: fight against transnational organised trafficking and crime.
Since the end of 2016, Expertise France has been implementing the European GoGIN project, which aims to promote interregional cooperation in the Gulf of Guinea. The objective is to improve maritime security and safety in the 19 countries along the African Atlantic coast, which stretches over more than 6,000 km.
In 2017, Expertise France is implementing the European PARSEC programme, with the aim of assisting the Malian authorities in restoring security and the rule of law in the Mopti region, in coordination with Europe’s EUCAP and EUTM missions.
Expertise France is also coordinating CT MENA, a large-scale European project which will aim to support the operationalisation of the EU-MENA strategic dialogue, with a focus on regional cooperation on counter-terrorism. This project will pool the skills and expertise of all the Member States concerned.
